Spring clean your website

Knock, knock! A lot like the refresh your home needs to shake off the tail end of winter and get ready for maybe even a guest to stop by, the virtual cobwebs need attention too. And it doesn’t have to be all-consuming… you can make sure your online home is ready without spending too much time (or money).

Here's your 60-minute website checklist:

  1. Smooth sailing: Check for broken buttons & links. A seamless user journey is not just visitor-friendly but also SEO magic. Every link should lead exactly where it's meant to (check for broken links here). Related — double-check those social links. Broken social links are like closing the door when Google’s standing right there. Review those CTA’s too! Make sure you’re giving your client an obvious to-do on each page.

  2. Out with the old: Whether you know it’s there or you don’t (yet) — look through every page for outdated content to update. Give your site a breath of fresh air by clearing out old sales pitches, updating contact info, and tweaking that copyright date to this year’s if you haven’t already.

  3. Seasonal swap: If there are any last bits of Christmas cheer remaining, infuse your site instead with fresh spring messaging and visuals to keep the vibes current.

  4. Stay in touch: Test your contact form by filling it out completely and seeing what info is generated on your end. Make sure it's running like a well-oiled machine so you can connect with potential dream clients and customers without a hitch.

BONUS if you can also…

Revive that blog:

  • Dust off old blog posts. If they're still relevant but dated, give them a 2024 makeover. Fresh content keeps your site looking current and attractive, and your clients (and potential clients) will notice this and be able to tell.

Makeover your mobile presence:

  • Ensure your mobile site is matching your desktop display’s energy. Visitors and search engines both love a site that looks as good on the go as it does on a desktop.

  • Check for responsiveness, legibility, and navigation.

Your website will thank you with increased sales and search-engine love – and you can get there in under an hour!
